Raising Kentucky Lamb

Discover Lamb.

Lost Oak Farm strives to provide producers with quality, healthy, and happy sheep. Our farm in Central Kentucky is home to Katahdin hair sheep, who work to breed and feed.

To fellow shepherds, we raise both commercial and registered lambs, which are available as replacement breeders to add strong maternal instincts, parasite resistance, and hardy genetics to your flock.

To newcomers, the teacher in me is eager to introduce you to the world of sheep farming. Reach out below with any beginning questions or keep reading for our Shepherding Guide!

Become a Shepherd.

And if jumping into the sheep world intimidates you?

We’ve taken all of our management practices, tough lessons learned, marketing advice, and our best tips/tricks and compiled them into a Beginner’s Guide to Raising Sheep!

Don’t worry yourself with trying to collect books, search through Google articles, or ask around. Take it from two, real-life shepherds who learned by doing.

Real farming. Real shepherding. Real advice. One comprehensive resource that will leave you feeling confident enough to bring your girls home and capable enough to take care of them.
